Hello! I am the creator and developer of this small project and go by Niche Dev. For as long as I have been able to hold a camera I have loved photography. I love creating images and being creative. Throughout my life I have relied on free and online tools to create the effects that I wanted as I never had the budget for dozens of different professional apps. Most of the time I would find what I needed, but often I wouldn't. Over time, but especially in recent years, I had become discouraged by a rise in paywalls, in sign-ins, in required accounts with relentless marketing emails, and even worse: prompts to download software I didn't trust. This was especially prevalent with the specialized needs that I was running into more and more as the tools I required became more advanced... and that is when I could find tools at all. I recently finished school with a minor in computer science, so I figured I should put it to work. I began to make the tools that I needed for incredibly specific tasks. I would have a need for a specific type of tool, look for a free online version, and if I was unable to find one at all, or one that worked like I wanted, I would make my own. Over the course of a few months I made several of these tools and thought it would be good to make them freely available and be part of the solution. Thus NichePhotoTools.com was born.
NichePhotoTools.com, first created in July 2026, is a growing collection of tools designed for specific applications relating to image modification and creation. Tools you see on this site were created when I was trying to solve a niche problem, couldn't find a free and easy solution, and made my own. Additionally you may find basic quality of life tools created in order to provide a more seamless user experience such as cropping and conversion tools. All tools are free to use and live totally online. All image data is processed on device so we never see it, and we never add watermarks to your image. The site is entirely funded by donations, ads, and out of pocket.

As you can imagine it takes a lot of time and energy to create these tools. As it turns out, making free tools isn't free... Or easy.
